Fly Tipping

Information on what to do if you spot fly tipping.

The best way for residents to report fly-tipping, suspicious activity, or any waste-related offences is through the Hart District Council website using the online reporting form:

👉 www.hart.gov.uk/environment/environmental-health/fly-tipping or hart.fixmystreet.com

Reports can also be made by calling 01252 622122 or by emailing eh@hart.gov.uk if residents prefer to share information or photographs directly.

When reporting, it’s helpful if residents can include:

  • The exact location (What3Words or nearest landmark)
  • Date and time of the incident
  • A vehicle description and registration if known
  • Any photographs (ensuring they were taken safely and without approaching anyone involved)

All reports are logged and reviewed by officers in Environmental Heath at Hart District Council. They use this intelligence to direct CCTV deployments, target hotspot areas, and support formal investigations where appropriate.

Hart District Council works closely with the Hampshire County Council and other local parishes to identify patterns and share intelligence with partner authorities.
