Hart District Council is inviting residents to comment on the proposed content and supporting evidence for its new Local Plan, which will help guide future development across the district.
The consultation is an early opportunity for residents, businesses and community organisations to have their say on how Hart should plan for the future.
What is the consultation about?
The consultation covers a range of important planning matters, including:
- A draft vision for the future of Hart district.
- The Council’s broad approach to meeting future development needs.
- Potential development site options.
- The topics and issues that future planning policies should cover.
- The evidence supporting the new Local Plan.
No decisions have been made at this stage. Comments received will help inform the preparation of the plan. A further consultation on the full draft Local Plan is expected next year.
Consultation deadline
The consultation closes at 11.59pm on Monday 7 December 2026.
Residents can find the consultation documents and details of how to submit comments on Hart District Council’s website.
